Building for the future

Our housing development in Great Plumstead has now been completed and all of the 22 homes have been sold.

The development on land owned by Broadland Council at Rosebery Road, was delivered by our company Broadland Growth Limited, a joint venture between the Council and the NPS Group.
Council Leader, Cllr Shaun Vincent said: “Through Broadland Growth we are building good quality, environmentally friendly homes that people want to live in.

“These houses provide an affordable option for people who live or work in Broadland, while at the same time providing a financial return to the Council to support the continued delivery of the services valued by our residents.”

The grant from the Land Release Fund enabled the Council to unlock land and fulfil our ambitious plans to build these much-needed new homes. The site includes one and two bedroom bungalows and three and four bedroom houses which we sold on the open market. The site also included eight affordable homes (36%), comprising one and two bedroom flats and bungalows and also a wheelchair accessible bungalow. The affordable homes have been allocated to households with a housing need and a local connection.

Homes built by Broadland Growth marry environmental excellence with quality living making sure that our developments benefit the local community. We combine architectural flair and the high standards of sustainability to raise the bar in providing homes that are at the leading edge of low energy design.

To support local businesses and employment, Broadland Growth engaged local suppliers and sub-contractors to work on the development. We also worked with the development’s main contractor, Cocksedge, to deliver an immersive workshop to students at University Technical College Norwich promoting skills and professions in the construction industry, along with Thorpe St Andrews high school students on interior design ideas for the show home.
